Rally Update: Grab Bag TSD Road Rally – Nov 7

2020 Grab Bag Road Rally Update This year will be a bit lower key due to COVID-19 safety. We're having everything in an outdoors setting. Registration will be in a parking lot at the outlet mall and short of signing paperwork and a quick driver's meeting I would expect that everyone will just go through their notes in their cars. I am going to try to have more DIY checkpoints and use a slightly different score card format that will minimize or eliminate lines at checkpoints. There will be no formal gathering at the end of the event as there simply is not a venue suitable to hold us all and maintain space. There are several food and drink options surrounding the finish (back at the outlets) if you choose to gather on your own. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope to see you there! Luckily the original plan for RAL 2019 called for teams to visit locations both east and west of Route 93, but ended up with all but 1 question being west of Route 93. So Jon and Kelli culled through the east locations to determine a potential route. A 1 day run in mid-July confirmed most of the locations were valid (1 substitute location needed to be found along way). On Saturday, August 8th, 10 rally teams showed up at New Hampshire Motor Speedway between 8:30 and 10 am for RAL 2020. After a 20 mile odometer calibration run, the teams received a NH Lakes Region tourism map and a list of 10 questions. Teams then plotted their own [...]
