As all of you are aware, the Covid-19 virus is affecting people and events all over the world, including our little slice of heaven in the New England Region. SCCA National has postponed or cancelled all National events through April 16th. NER Solo has taken the step of suspending competition for the foreseeable future, and I’m sure that many of you are wondering about the status of the rest of our events.
As you know, things are changing very rapidly, and each of our programs are evaluating events on a regular basis. The Board of Directors is meeting every two weeks to review all our state and local regulations, as well as the recommendations of the Medical community. We will announce event cancellations on a timely basis, far enough ahead to enable people to make decisions as needed.
We are as disappointed as you are that we’re not able to come together to compete and spend time with our “second family” of friends and fellow competitors. Our goal is to begin running events as soon as it is safe to do so, with respect to the regulations and orders being made by each state in our region as well as an overarching eye to the safety of our members.
I hope that all of you are healthy and safe. We all miss getting together and look forward to when we can return to having #FunWithCars.
