Welcome SCDA

SCDA provides driving enthusiasts an opportunity to experience high performance driving in a safe and controlled environment. SCDA events are strictly driver educational events, and are non-competitive. SCDA welcomes everyone from novices with no track experience, as well as seasoned track drivers and racers.

Founded in 1995, the Sports Car Driving Association (SCDA) welcomes everyone from novices with no track experience, to seasoned track day drivers and competition licensed racers. SCDA President Elivan Goulart took on the group’s leadership and continues to grow and expand its offerings, and share his passion as a racer. Starting in karts at the age of 12, Elivan graduated to Formula 500 (2001 and 2002 SCCA National Runoff Champion). In 2004, the new Formula SCCA and Cooper Tires Championship was formed and it’s first champion was Elivan. Continuing to compete in amateur and professional series, Elivan clinched the ultra-competitive 2011 SCCA National Champion in Spec Miata and 2011 SCCA Presidents Cup winner. Two years later he was the 2013 SCCA STU National Champion followed by a TC America series championship in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge. Elivan has won over 40% of all his races since the start of his career. Explore the www.SCDA1.com website to learn more about SCDA and their events at some of the best tracks in the East Coast.

About CRE

The CRE is a fun and low-risk way to learn and enjoy the thrill of wheel-to-wheel racing. Participating drivers attend training to learn the rules, study the basics of race craft, and understand the framework of club racing events. Interspersed with their training sessions, novices drive on track in a lower risk, less aggressive form of wheel-to-wheel racing to gain experience. Drivers learn about race craft, and accumulate track time and race starts needed to earn a competition license if that is their goal. Plus, everyone makes new friends and has loads of fun!

The CRE in 2021 is a great way to experience racing and begin earning your regional competition license. If you’ve sampled wheel-to-wheel racing in one of the budget enduro racing series or become addicted to track days and want to take it to the next level, participating in an upcoming CRE event with the New England Region is perfect for you! Lead/follow instructors drive on track along with CRE participants.
