Road Racing Season Preparation
Drivers and Workers! Pre-season preparation for the 2026 road racing season is getting started. There are two events coming everyone should be aware of.
Flag & Fire School
First is the annual Flag & Fire School. This one-day training session is for F&C and emergency services. The event allows participants to review all current and updated flagging rules and guidelines, and practice new and existing communication techniques – like radio calls and hand/arm signals. Additionally, participants will learn how to work with and support emergency crews, and includes allowing each one the opportunity to use a fire bottle on a live fire.
Pre-Season Annual Tech
This is an opportunity to get the Annual Tech for “Experienced” race cars out of the way for the season, or to obtain new log books/initial inspections for new race cars. This will eliminate the pre-race hassles of getting the car through tech at the track. Once a car and Driver’s gear are inspected all a driver or crew needs to do is to bring the log book to tech at the race to get a tech sticker. Far less stressful than getting in a long line of cars waiting for each to be carefully (and therefore slowly) inspected.
