10 Drivers and 9 Workers

19 NER members are headed west to Sonoma, California to compete and volunteer at the 2018 SCCA National Championship Runoffs.

The 55th Runoffs commences with the opening of the track for race teams to Test and Tune Saturday-Monday, October 13-15. Official Qualifying starts on Tuesday morning, October 16, with the full slate of races and the crowning of the 2018 National Champions over the three days of October 19-21.

This is the first time the SCCA Runoffs will be held at Sonoma Raceway, and one of the few times it has occurred all the way out on the west coast of the United States. Given the distance from our home region here in New England, it’s quite the commitment for these 19 members (and their families and crew) to travel and participate in this annual “best of motorsports” event.

Join us in wishing them safe travels, beautiful weather, hardcore wheel-to-wheel action, and a safe return home at the end of what’s guaranteed to be a week of racing at its finest. Stay tuned here to Pit Talk throughout the week of the Runoffs for updates and highlights from our drivers and workers. Live updates will be linked directly from SCCA.
