Chris Crotty

Hello my Name is Christopher “Chris” Crotty. I’ve been involved with SCCA for over almost thirty years. I started out as a crew guy for a friend of mine and have evolved into a racer myself. I’ve been involved with SCCA events in Las Vegas, Pro Autosports in Phoenix and have always maintained my fondness for NER. I’ve been to several national meetings  and have always had an interest in the “behind the scenes” part of a race event. Most recently I was just able to get my car back on the track and am currently trying to build back up Formula Ford racing with the purchase of a few cars from retired NER members. I want to keep the cars in the region and help to build back the class. You may have seen me at the track alot in the past few years as I have worked a lot of the specialties.  I volunteer to work the track when I can’t race. I will even volunteer to do what I can to help when I do race. This past year you may have seen me at Start, Flagging a corner, On the track working EMS, or just helping wherever I’m needed.   Please consider me for BOD.

Thanks,
Chris

Krista Crotty

As a 30+ year member of SCCA, Krista Crotty has experience as a competitor and as a worker/volunteer.  She has kept her membership up while living in various parts of the county and kept her NER membership from when she first moved to Massachusetts. She has competed & volunteered in mostly road racing throughout the years, along with some solo events and track nights sprinkled in across the country.  Her first years in road racing were in an ITA Toyota MR2 mid-engine, moving to an original SR Sports Renault, and eventially finding a home in FF Formal Ford by renting and then purchasing her Swift DB-1.  She has also participated and worked with groups such as Vintage, VSCCA, SVRA, IMSA, F1, and ProAuto Sports over the years.

She has work every speciality and currently holds & maintains multiple speciality licenses. In the season you’ve likely seen her at Tech, F&C, EMS, Pits and even Start. She is happy to help where/when ever help is needed.

Krista hopes to bring a fresh perspective to the board, along with knowledge from other operations, along with a willingness to listen and implement what’s best for the club in all areas. And – yes – initially she was volun-told to run for the board. And now she is looking forward to serving the membership :-)

With gratitude,
Krista Crotty

Hal Denham

I’ve been a member of NER for nearly 50 years. I started in Road Rally in 1974 and over the years have expanded into Rally Cross, Club Racing as a volunteer worker as well as a Solo competitor. I have served on the NER Board of Directors for two terms in the mid 2000s.

Karen Petersen

I’m Karen Petersen, and I’m running for my second term on the Board of Directors.  I’ve worked on the grid for 44 years,  and have strong feelings about the quality of NER’s workers, along with the need to recruit more. We risk operating with spotty coverage. We have so much to offer, and need to drill down on adding to our numbers. We have a positive relationship with drivers and crew, and we on the grid have gotten feedback on how well we do our job; drivers have stated our efforts and relationships shine over some regions. This is NER’s quality and identity.  Race, Rally, and Solo all benefit from from new, enthusiastic volunteers. This must be a vital segment of the BoD’s efforts.

David White

Hi, my name is David White and I have been a member of New England Region since 2001. Most road racers will recognize me from working Emergency Services, currently serving as the new chief of specialty and other duties around the track. I have worked with the region recruitment team during its inaugural year, and intend to work with the team again in the coming year and beyond. I have served on the board of directors for the last year as a replacement for a resigned member and would like to continue to contribute to the club by running for the 2025-2026 term, Thank you for your support
