Trevor Frey
My name is Trevor Frey and I am running for election to the NER Board of Directors. I have run autocross and participated in Track Nights in America, and I am eager to explore other areas of motorsport that our region has to offer. I have served as the Waiver Chief for the autocross club for more than 2 years and I am hopeful to find more ways to give back to the community by representing Solo on the BOD.
I have worked in the automotive industry as a diagnostic and repair technician for 7 years as an ASE certified master technician and advanced level specialist. Cars and motorsport have always been passions of mine, and I feel both grateful and fortunate that I am able to enjoy both in my career and in my spare time.
If I am elected to the board I hope to provide pointed representation for the Solo group and provide meaningful input on how to continually improve the program. My goal coming into this role is to focus on retention of new members. New member retention is key to ensuring our community can grow and thrive in the coming years.
Thank you for your consideration!
Dave Gott
Dave Gott grew up “at the track” with New England Region both autocrossing and road racing. First time on track was when Mom was 8 months pregnant with me, and I’ve never looked back. (Just look how I turned out!). I Started autocrossing in 1990 with my Triumph TR6; currently autocrossing regularly in my Civic SI, and road racing a car I grew up watching race with my parents: custodian for Bill Throops’s TR4. What a thrill to be on track with Dad and my “Hero’s” racing competitively in Vintage with Historic Race Group, along with my parents. Truly a dream come true; how lucky am I?? It’s time for me to give back to the region, having been timing chief in autocross for a number of years in the past. I also spent a couple of years in the Midwest where I was Solo Chair with Great River region, ensuring events ran smoothly, which gave me an alternate perspective. Have to say, we have something very unique here in New England!! I now have the time (or can make the time) to help guide the region to ensure we serve our members in the best way possible, with my experience in both Autocross and Road Racing. I’d love to learn more about the rally programs as well! I do strive to always be a constant student, and welcome and pride myself on understanding other’s point of view. Thank you for your consideration.

Kathy Moody
My name Kathy Moody, and if you have ever attended a rallycross, you have met me at registration. I have been involved with the New England Region for nearly 25 years. After spending 15 years on the RallyCross board, I feel its time I step up to represent these programs on our region BOD. I started with rallycross and rally back in 2004, and currently compete in both of those, as well as gravel trials, stage rally, and the occasional solo. I have been personally involved in bringing many women into rally motorsports by inviting them to co-drive in the right-seat with me for stage and hillclimb events. I love our region and it’s fostering of inclusivity!
I was on the national rallycross rules committee. I currently serve as the NER Rally Registrar and as a rallycross safety steward. I have been the RX co-chair for over 15 years, and Chief of Service for New England Forest Rally and on the organization team for Climb to the Clouds.
I’m a passionate advocate for all things rally, and dedicated to making sure our events are well-run, competitive, and above all, fun. I’ll bring my extensive knowledge of the rally community, and how we operate, to the BOD to offer new perspectives for region leadership.
Paul Omichinski
I’m asking again for the opportunity to serve on the New England Region SCCA Board of Directors.
I have previously served in that role for several terms, and I would bring experience and operational knowledge to the Board which will be losing some experienced Board members this cycle.
My most relevant experience to a Board of Directors role would include more than 28 years of service as an elected Board of Education member in my community and serving on the Boards of Directors of several businesses.
I have a lifelong addiction to motorsports and going fast.
My introduction to SCCA events were NER Autocross meets in the mid ‘70’s. First Time Trial at Lime Rock in 1976 and first SCCA Club racing in 1979. I’m still actively engaged in all those programs, and I’ve managed to get in a Rally or two along the way. I understand what makes our programs function and appeal to our membership, and I’ve been a voice on the Board to provide the appropriate support they each need.
I was an instigator for establishing the CART / NER Time Trial program which has become a transition steppingstone between Autocross, TNIA and Club Racing and I continue in a leadership role in that program.
By education and trade, I’m an engineer in the fields of aerospace and automotive. Incredibly blessed to have been on teams supporting everything from space exploration to racing Hypercar Prototypes at LeMans. I’m a pilot of racing cars, motorcycles and aircraft.
The Region is again blessed with a great selection of volunteers to choose our Directors from. A diverse range of experience and motivation, any of which I’m confident will be positive additions to our governance team. I thank you for your consideration and encourage you to participate in the voting process.

John Stanwood
Greetings,
My name is John Stanwood, and I am happy to introduce myself and to announce my candidacy for a position on the Board of Directors for the New England Region.
As I transition into semi-retirement, I’m excited to be able to dedicate more of my time and energy to supporting the Region and its core values—fun, fair competition, camaraderie, and forging lasting friendships.
I’ve been involved in motorsports since the late 1980s, with a few detours along the way as I raised my family and ran my businesses. For the past dozen years, I’ve been especially active in Karting, Autocross, and Rallycross, and much of this time has been spent racing alongside my son. This has been some of the best family time any motorsport enthusiast could ask for! Together, we’ve enjoyed countless karting sessions, racing events, AXs, RX’s and—most importantly—lots of awesome memories!
Looking ahead, we are excited about our future projects, including finishing our Time Trial car and a potential B-Spec (or IT) car for the upcoming seasons. I’m eager to help continue growing and contributing to the motorsport community that NER has fostered and that has been such an integral part of my family’s life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I would be grateful for your support and the opportunity to serve the New England Region.
Cheers,
John Stanwood
David White
Hi! My name’s David White and I’m running for the Board of Directors for NER/SCCA. I began life with SCCA, as a guest, back in 1999 crewing for a Showroom Stock driver. The following year I became a Speed Freaks member, which was for kids under 18. 2001 saw my interest shift from working on cars to working WITH cars. I had been attending the pro events at Lime Rock for several years, at this point. During an early fall Ferrari Challenge event, while spectating by the chicane, I approached Marianne Lyons who was working the outpost and asked her “How do I get where you are?” I got in contact with Karen Peterson, who, at the time, was the worker rep for the region. I wanted to know what I needed to do the be trackside at 17 years old by the NAARC RunOffs (which, I believe, was the following weekend). Spent 4 days overnighting paperwork with Denver, and received my member card with the big red W on it, the day we were leaving to go back to Lime Rock. SUCCESS!! And the rest is history from there. I spent a lot of my early days working F&C, and dabbled with Start, Tech and Pits and was the “unofficially official chief race chair” a VERY unofficial title given to me by Diane Lyons. Finally finding my niche with Emergency Services in 2009.
