The NER/SCCA Rally program will hold its first ever Trek Rally on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Crusin’ With No Particular Place To Go will be a 4-hour Trek Rally through Eastern, CT, organized by Al and Lori Guerette. It starts at the Deep River Commuter lot (the Essex Park and Ride Lot) on the Deep River / Essex, CT town line on Route 154, and will finish at the Travelers (Food & Book) Restaurant in Union, CT. Along the way there will be breaks at Gillette’s Castle in East Haddam, CT and Buttonwood Farm Ice Cream in Griswold, CT. Check in will be between 9 and 10 am on Sunday morning, and the participants will start the Trek at 10 am. Cost is $30 per car.
Trek Rallies are non-competitive driving events meant to foster social interaction and introduce participants to Road Rally Navigation.
Participants will proceed from the start and designated stops in a follow the leader convoy style. Since separations will inevitably occur, each participant will be given the route instructions and map to keep them on course.
While teams should have at least a driver and navigator, the number of participants per car is only limited by the number of available seat belts.
Teams are asked to pre-register via Motorsports Reg at https://msreg.com/cruisetrek2026
