Dave Ammen
New England Region lost a mentor, leader, member. David Ammen passed away at home on Cape Cod, following a long illness. His daughter Julie was with him. Dave was a strong mentor to generations of NER leaders and racers including Joanna Ellis, Phil Gott and Gary Rutherford. He treated everyone in the club with respect and kindness. He served as Area 1 representative on the SCCA Board of Governors, helping to guide them to hire Nick Craw as President of SCCA. He was on the Competition Committee and NER’s Board of Directors. He belonged to the Road Racing Drivers Club and participated in the Runoffs in cars ranging from sedans to sports racers.

LeRoy “Lee” Ellis
Lee enjoyed sailing, kayaking, canoeing, riding his Goldwing, his G-scale model trains and gadgets of all kinds. He was a member of the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). He was an avid reader, movie watcher and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles in the Bangor Daily News. He will be missed by all who knew him.
